Get to know Kevin Nys
Meet Kevin Nys, one of our Cubis data experts, specialized in BW/4HANA, SAP Data Services and SAP BO administration. Of course, it is always nice to find out a bit more behind the faces of our consultants. That is why Kevin is happy to tell you his story today. Read it below.
What does an ideal project look like for you?
For me the most important is to have the chance of working together with knowledgeable colleagues in a highly motivated team. Ideally this is a project close to Leuven, Wavre, Brussels or Antwerp where I have the opportunity to expand my knowledge in SAP analytics technologies such BW/4HANA , native HANA modeling, and SAC.
What was your nicest experience at Cubis?
I’m very grateful that I have had the opportunity to conduct several official SAP training sessions at SAP Belgium and at Bruxelles Formation.
Can you explain what kind of work you have been doing?
Ever since I started working, I have been active within various domains within SAP Analytics. In the first place I began working on SAP BW 7.4, SAP BO 4.1 and SAP BI authorizations. Next, I was responsible for SAP BO 4.2 platform administration and SAP Data Services development. Afterwards I was involved as a Webi and BEx query developer and responsible for BI authorizations. At last, I became active as BW/4HANA and native HANA developer. In between projects I also provide trainings in SAP analytics tools such as SAP Data Services and SAP BO Webi.
What is an ideal day off for you?
Waking up early and start the day with sports such as running or cycling, followed by a nice brunch. Next a city trip to Maastricht to do some shopping, sightseeing and have some drinks. Eventually I finish the day with an amazing diner at my favourite restaurant Tokyoto.
How have you seen Cubis evolve in recent years and how do you look back on it?
During the last year, I noticed that lots of newcomers joined and only a few people left. Overall, I have the impression that Cubis is ever expanding, so much that it has become the largest player on the market of SAP Analytics consulting services within Belgium.
What was the nicest teambuilding activity that you ever did with Cubis?
The City Trip to Marrakech. During this 3-day trip, we’ve had the chance to participate in lots of activities. We’ve had the pleasure to stay in the very luxurious Iberostar Group Palmeraie hotel, visit the old medina and the soukh followed by a delicious authentic morrocan meal in the Ksar Al Hamra restaurant. As if that was not enough we also went on a jeep safari through the Atlas Mountains, enjoyed a camel ride, visited Africa’s number one discotheque, the Theatro Marrakech and so much more!
Last but not least, we have to know, what is your favourite guilty pleasure?
Friday = fries day. I need my weekly portion of Belgian fries!
