Get to know Camélia Rabyi
Meet Camélia Rabyi, one of the Cubis team members. Camélia is already working 4 years for Cubis and that makes her an experienced data and analytics expert. But who is she really? Well, she gladly explains that to you herself! Read it below
How would you describe yourself?
My name is Camelia Rabyi, I was born in 1986 in Brussels, and I am French speaking. Regarding my personality, I will limit myself to 3 dominant traits of my character.
First, I would describe myself as an optimistic person who prefers to see “the glass half full”. I prefer to take the positive from each situation and take it as an experience because each experience makes me stronger.
Second, since I was a child, I have been determined. When I have a goal in mind, I do everything to try to achieve it and I hate to give up. As Michael Jordan said: « Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it or work around it. » Because of this mindset, my relatives often reproach me for being stubborn.
But anyway, for me, life is like in a boxing ring. You fight with persuasion and live with passion. If you fall and fail, you get up and move on.
« I can accept failure; everyone fails at something. But I can’t accept not trying. » Michael Jordan
Third, an important value that my parents taught me is loyalty. My dad always told me “A man has only one word“. It is therefore important for me to respect my commitments and according to me, it is also a form of respect towards others.
Could you describe your career briefly?
From 2007 to 2018, I worked for RTL Belgium, well-known for its TV channels on the French landscape, as a sales support in the marketing department.
One part of my job was analyzing the needs of sales managers and their teams to create and automate reports for them. I loved this part of my job and working in the front-end… But my curiosity made me want to explore the back end as well! I wanted to see how we can build something from the bottom to the top.
That’s why I switched my career, and I left RTL to start working for Cubis, 4 years ago, in September 2018.
What do you think about Cubis?
Since the first day, I like the culture of the company and the transparent management. I appreciate the fact that our managers push us to train and progress in the sector (by participating to several trainings or the knowledge transfer sessions between colleagues). And within the company itself, the atmosphere is rather pleasant, there is good relation between colleagues very nice and a team spirit.
