Welcome Jarny Kerckaert!
Meet Jarny Kerckaert, our newest team member at Cubis. What made him choose Cubis, how does he approach data, and who inspires him most? Get to know him better via the interview below!
Why did you choose Cubis?
After several conversations, Cubis stood out to me because of its long‑term vision and its personal way of engaging with customers. The company genuinely strives to keep growing and to remain hard‑working, which aligns perfectly with my own values and with the well‑known mindset of people from West‑Flanders. The Intellus Group gives off a sense of a familial atmosphere, combined with a unique concentration of people from diverse knowledge domains. It’s an environment where I can learn tremendously from others and more importantly where we are stimulated to brainstorm and build ideas together. As a “young professional”, Cubis offers the ideal setting to be exposed to a diverse range of projects. Whether it involves SAP, Microsoft, or AI, the company provides room to both deepen and broaden your expertise.
Lastly, I strongly feel that this is a company where your contribution truly matters. You feel heard at every level of the organization and you have the opportunity to help shape the end result for customers.
What did you do before Cubis?
Before joining Cubis I worked in a role that touched nearly every aspect of data: from migration projects and data engineering to front‑end development and designing, documenting and implementing the long‑term data strategy.
At one point, I was essentially operating as a one‑man BI team.
My main goal was always the same: helping business users access useful, reliable, and high‑value data built in a way that’s clean, correct and performant. That mission is something I’m excited to continue at Cubis.
If you could have dinner with any character (fictional or non-fictional), who would it be and why?
If I could have dinner with any character, I would choose Tony Stark. Not just because he’s a genius inventor but because he combines creativity, technology, and bold decision-making in a way that’s incredibly inspiring.
He represents the idea that innovation comes from pushing boundaries, thinking ahead and never stopping to learn. Those values resonate strongly with how I want to grow professionally.
